Dr. Denis Lassance, PMP®, is the Managing Director for the PMI Europe Region. He brings visionary leadership, a wealth of expertise, and an unwavering commitment to advancing the project management profession. He leads the region’s strategy to help PMI continue to empower project professionals and deliver meaningful impact worldwide.
Denis Lassance is a seasoned, highly accomplished Project Management Senior Executive with over 20 years of leadership experience across a wide range of industries – inclusive of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, petrochemicals, aeronautics, and metallurgy. Throughout his career, Denis has been dedicated to maximizing complex projects’ success.
Most recently, Denis served as Vice President and Head of Pipeline Project Management at GSK, where he led a team of over 200 professionals responsible for accelerating the company’s pipeline. During his tenure, Denis spearheaded a groundbreaking transformation to elevate Project Managers into roles of influential leaders, empowering them with the strategic and leadership capabilities needed to unify and steer complex projects.
Denis is a passionate advocate for the project management community, frequently collaborating with PMI and other industry leaders to enhance the profession’s impact.
Denis holds an engineering degree, PhD in Applied Sciences, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Outside of work, Denis enjoys traveling the world with his partner and their dog. He is also a dedicated ultra-trail runner. He spends much of his free time training for and competing in long-distance mountain races, which showcases his passion for stretch challenges, endurance, and resilience.
