Thomas Walenta has over 50 years of project experience, 36 in leadership, including 21 years in program management at IBM, where he set up PMOs, led complexprograms, SAP rollouts, outsourcing contracts, and portfolio integration acrossEurope, the US, Asia, and other regions. He later supported a German manufacturerin establishing portfolio management and a hybrid PMO. A PMI volunteer since 1998,he led the Frankfurt Chapter, served twice on PMI’s global Board, and received the PMI Fellow Award. He has taught at universities, advised globally, spoken at 100+events, and mentors professionals worldwide. He gave a keynote at Passion for Projects 2019.
